Abby has studied yoga since 1988 and taught full time since 1997. She is a certified Viniyoga instructor and therapist , and is an IAYT-certified yoga therapist. Her training emphasizes adapting and applying yoga and ayurvedic principles in an individual and group context for emotional, mental, and physical well-being. As a persons needs change, so should their practice.
Since 2003, Abby has taught bi-weekly classes for persons living with Multiple Sclerosis.
In 2016 Abby completed Richard Miller's Level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra Training. Recently she finished Warriors at Ease Level 1 program for teaching yoga and meditation in military settings. Her studies have also included anatomy and physiology at Brian Utting School of Massage, Pacific Yoga Teacher Training, and Street Yoga, an organization offering trauma informed yoga for homeless youth. She is committed to deepening her understanding of yoga as a tool for health, self awareness, and transformation, both for herself and others.
